To Give is to Get

Hey Reader,

How often have you heard:
“But he did it first!”

Many kids justify their actions as reactions.
They say, look at the other person… they are so much worse than I am.

We see this today with adults, too—
when they put blame on others as an excuse for their bad behavior.

It makes me sad to see it in the news every day:

  • “I’m not to blame.”
  • “He was already doing it.”
  • “I’m not as bad as he is.”

These are all statements of giving back what you’ve received
with the point of escape or justifying your own behavior.

In business or in your family,
you are tasked to break this.
We will reap what we have sown.
So it’s no surprise there.

I just read through Proverbs again in the morning:

“One gives freely, yet grows richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.
Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”
— Proverbs 11:24–25

The only way to make a difference in this world is to start giving.

Don’t say:

  • “But you have to give first.”
  • “But you need to act first.”

Start by giving
because I believe you will receive way more than you could ask for.

That is what makes the large difference.

We are leaders.
As leaders, we need to go first.

I want to start with you.

Hey Reader, Everything in life comes with a price tag. Not always do they have a $ (Dollar Sign) with them. Some are also connected to the cost of time. Some are decisions, either for or against. You can do many things, but you won’t be able to succeed in all. You do have many opportunities, but not the time to try them all. There is a correlation that I started to notice. The older I get, the more obvious it becomes. Every big victory comes with a price. There is no success without…

This is a topic I keep thinking about. I’m yet to fully grasp what it means. We don’t like to be manipulated. It often happens — when I’m on X or other social platforms,I feel like the Sales Bros are always trying to be manipulative. A lot of the strategies behind Persuasion and Manipulation are similar. They are similar to what they do —but we don’t like to be sold to. Yet, it becomes more complicated when we find out someone manipulated us to buy.We feel icky. That’s not nice. So how is…

  • Don’t play business

Hey Reader, There is a big misconception about a Personal Brand and creating content. Most Personal Brands don’t make any money. They are just creating noise. Let me tell you a little story: My son recently started to “play dress-up.”He puts on my boots and gets a loud voice. Then he walks around the house pretending to be Papa. He has a blast and we all enjoy watching him.He looks pretty cute. I see a similar pattern in most Personal Brands. They play pretend business. They see the big guys on…

  • The One-Dad Business

The One-Dad Business The only way I have found to make enough income to be the sole provider is with business. Yes, there are certain careers that would earn money, but they don’t give you agency. The next part is that they need to give you the opportunity to be present for your family. This is why the One-Dad Business is the best option for Dads to start a business. Many dabble with the idea to build a hobby business. Something they do for their hobby. There is a downside to it, though….
