The truth about the easy life.

Hey Reader,

Last night was rough.

Our son woke us up in the night.
Which happens to all parents, I know.

He cried.
He was hungry, so we gave him a bottle of milk.

Just when I was about to fall asleep again, he cried again.

At some point, he fell asleep again.
I didn’t…

My mind was wandering around.

How nice would it be to have an easy life?

  • Sleeping through the night.
  • Sitting up rested.
  • No commitments during the day.
  • Just whatever I want to do.

Do you also wish for an easy life sometimes?

It would be so nice, right?

Nope, probably not.

As much as I wish for an easy life,
I understand that it would be boring.

There would be no more drive to share.
No stories to tell.

There would be no hardship to learn, grow and improve.

I wouldn’t even know how to cherish the good times in my life.

I wouldn’t know how to really enjoy the good blessings in my life.

There is a difference between owning $1 million and being a millionaire.

The lottery winner doesn’t know what to do with all that money.
Whereas the millionaire has the character strength to know how to handle wealth.

As much as I enjoy the idea of an easy life,
I remind myself that success and blessings are only cherished by understanding the lack and hardship that would be the opposite.

If you’re dealing with hardship right now,
I want to encourage you to look for the blessings you have.

Cherish them and grow.

Your Jowi

Broken Families break Society Broken families lead to broken societies, distant communities, and empty neighborhoods. My brother and I puzzled a lot. We had one puzzle where, in the end, one piece was missing. We puzzled many landscapes to hang them up as pictures on the wall. Once you found the missing piece, no matter how often you looked at the picture, you always noticed this missing piece. There was an empty space. When I think of broken families, I think of this incomplete puzzle. It…

  • Business is Boring!

Hey Reader, In so many videos I’ve watched over the years, there is often the idea that business is so exciting. There is always something new happening. There is always change. You’re in a high-speed car chase. While I definitely get that—especially when you’re starting out—you always want to be overwhelmed. The reality is that business is boring. There is not much happening once you find a routine that works. The main goal is to stick to that routine as long as you can. I do like to be by…

There is a flood of content out there that is just generated by AI.It is getting easier to stay consistent. There is also a pattern I observe: I’m not trying to compete with AI.Since it’s a tool, I can use it well or…

  • What “passive income” misses entirely

We have so many conversations about passive income. It seems to be the holy grail for some with an online business. A high passive MRR (monthly recurring revenue) is the dream to have all freedom. You can do whatever you want to do. Yet there is an issue with it on two ends. First: there is no passive work.Second: we are made to work. In order to make money — we actually need to do something that offers help to somebody. We don’t make money — we earn it for value exchanged. Anything else…
