The Art of Client-Centric Thinking

When I started to get into the whole business universe, it was all about what I wanted.
I was going to build a business to make enough to live a life in freedom and provide for my family.

This is what I was told that I want.
That’s what people were talking about on YouTube.
All those fun benefits from running my business.

I really wanted those things:

  • Working 4 hours per week.
  • Having the perks of passive income.
  • Travelling the world.

Yet, none of it happened.

I was working hard on what should be passive products, creating content for free on the internet.
All that had to stop.

I was losing time, getting burned out.
It was hard.

Then one day, I actually sat down with my so-called “Dream Clients” and actually talked to them.
I saw their struggles.

This experience was different.

They were talking about real problems they had.
They were suffering, and I was focused on building my dream business
not my client’s dream business.

That’s when I stumbled the first time on the idea of
Client-Centric Thinking, as I call it now.

Too many startups fail because they never get to product-market fit.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise.

They were thinking the market will always buy their product,
when they should be studying their Dream Client’s real questions.

It is a real art to put yourself in your client’s shoes and actually talk to them,
to really understand their life.

Then you can go and actually make a difference.

Hey Reader, One thing I’ve seen over the last few years in the productivity field is the hunt for efficiency. It is the idea that when you get things done faster—you will automatically get more done. Let’s take a trip down memory lane: The idea of efficiency stems from the industrial revolution. In factories, it mattered to get more done faster. Thus, the overall productivity rose. The machine could produce more products in less time. When I first got introduced to productivity, I fell in…

  • Done beats Perfect

Done beats Perfect How often have you waited before publishing something? Maybe you have never published anything yet because you thought it’s not good enough. It’s not perfect. I have seen so many people get stuck on the path to building their business. They all get stuck in the Perfection Trap. They think it has to be a masterpiece before anybody else can see it. When in the beginning nobody will see it anyway. Not many people will ever see anything you publish. The few that do – will not…

  • To Give is to Get

Hey Reader, How often have you heard:“But he did it first!” Many kids justify their actions as reactions. They say, look at the other person… they are so much worse than I am. We see this today with adults, too—when they put blame on others as an excuse for their bad behavior. It makes me sad to see it in the news every day: “I’m not to blame.” “He was already doing it.” “I’m not as bad as he is.” These are all statements of giving back what you’ve received—with the point of escape or…

  • Marketing Means to Amplify Your Product

Hey Reader, Every day that I’m on Twitter/X, I get cold DMs. These guys pitching to get more clients, upgrade my sales, and get more leads. Often it feels like we’re just needing to sell better to sell more. That marketing is just a numbers game to make more money. When I look at the backend of their business, there is one number they don’t like to share: their churn rate. The churn rate is the rate at which clients cancel again. Most of the big sales gurus seem to focus more on getting new…

When I went fishing for the first time, I was in the US.A guy from church invited me to come along with him.He packed up his boat, went to get some bait, and drove us to the lake.
