Success comes through Sacrifice

Hey Reader,

Everything in life comes with a price tag.

Not always do they have a $ (Dollar Sign) with them.
Some are also connected to the cost of time.
Some are decisions, either for or against.

You can do many things, but you won’t be able to succeed in all.

You do have many opportunities, but not the time to try them all.

There is a correlation that I started to notice.
The older I get, the more obvious it becomes.

Every big victory comes with a price.

There is no success without sacrifice.
Your level of success is equal to the level of sacrifice.

When you’re starting a business, it’s not only about the potential of that business.

It’s also about the level of sacrifice required to make it.

The other way I think about it:
not only doing it for the money.

If you’re only doing it for the money, you won’t be able to take the sacrifice that comes with it.

The interesting question becomes:
What are you willing to sacrifice to reach your goal?
What price are you willing to pay?

If the price is too high—you won’t make it to your goal.

I don’t need to become a billionaire because the price often is to sacrifice your family.
I’m not willing to sacrifice my family.

That price is too high.

Knowing what I’m willing to give is important to know what my options really are.

There are many decisions that are hard to make.
Once you know how much you’re willing to sacrifice,
then you also know what decisions you can make.

Keep building!

Your Jowi

When it comes to pricing your offer (product or service), most get nervous. I did too. There is much pressure to get the price right. It also puts an expectation up for our clients. Not only that, we also need to drop the price in a conversation. In reality, most of our prices are taken out of the magician’s hat.We pick a number we like and stick with it. It feels nerve-wracking.Separated from reality. In reality, most entrepreneurs overprice or undercharge. Both of them don’t get you any…

I wasn’t a great student in school.I did what had to be done. This was the minimum to be average. Yet when I really wanted something,I could go above and beyond to get it.I just went for it and figured it out. Sadly, in our school system,we get taught that the cool kids are not trying hard.Cool kids are lazy and care less. It flows into our culture today, where you get made fun of for trying hard. This makes me sad, because there are so many things we can do.There are so many opportunities. It…

  • Good Decisions vs. Good Outcomes

Hey Reader, Just because you won something doesn’t mean that it was a good decision to participate. Sometimes in life, it feels like we were just lucky—that we were in the right place at the right time. We observe this in the lives of others as well. Some people around you just seem like they got lucky, were gifted. When we are starting a business, it feels daunting. It feels like we have to be lucky. The more years I spend in the entrepreneurial world, the more I see two components to…

Hey Reader, Whenever we make a plan, we think of tomorrow.Do you actually know if you have a tomorrow? I have done a lot of thinking on that the last few years. • You Won’t Have a Harvest Without Sowing

I see this every day online. People struggling to get a client. Struggling to make money. I have been there before. Aiming to reach a monthly income, ready for the harvest — and then coming up empty. No income. No clients. Just crickets. I thought I had good product. But in reality, I was more focused on what I would get out than what I gave. I didn’t actually sow any seeds. I was preparing for the harvest— only to wonder why it never came. That was a hard lesson. I still remember how…
