Have You Shared Your Story Yet?

Many people try to grow their online presence —
trying to build something unique.

Yet they tell stories that everybody has heard before.

You could share your story.
Tell what happens in your life.

It’s hard to do, so maybe —
you think there is no story to tell.
You have nothing interesting to share.
Or you think that it’s scary.

You don’t want to tell your story to nobody.

I understand all that.

But here’s the question:
Why did you start?

What made you want to start this business in the first place?

There was a spark.
There was something painful that made you take action.
Where you no longer could watch and do nothing.

That’s your story.

What happened?

Just share that.

You might not get many views and hate doing it.
You would tell that story to your grandma very calmly.
So getting 1 view on it is already one more person.

I will assure you:
Doing it for long enough will get you more than one view.

Just tell your story and not someone else’s.

I always enjoy watching people’s stories.
How they think. Dream. Talk.
What they do.

It’s those stories that we tell by a bonfire.

Where strangers become best friends overnight.

Sharing stories is about bonding over shared ideas, dreams, hopes—
and also shared pain, heartbreak, and suffering.

That’s what makes a story.

Find your story and share that to the world.
Then you will learn about so many other people going through the same thing.

Building a business is about helping people.
Sharing your story is the clearest commitment to do so.

Hey Reader, Often I feel like I could skip ahead. Like I know what it’s about and then I fast forward. This newsletter today is an important reminder for myself as well. When my son was a bit younger, like last year, he was trying to walk. He was practicing one step at a time. Now, when we’re going to the park, he loves to run around. There are situations where he is less comfortable. So he slows down. He takes it one step at a time. Obviously, it doesn’t always work. He falls down and gets…

Social media gets pretty boring.I read the same posts over and over again. Why do most people post the same stuff? It feels like there is nobody sharing fresh ideas. There are waves of trends. As soon as somebody posts something good,it gets reposted, repurposed a hundred times. They all look alike.Sound alike. Are there no new ideas? I believe it’s for one reason: Because people are actually scared their post won’t get enough likes. They hold back their genuine self, fresh thoughts, and new…

You’ll have to deal with: Many less comments More noise People who just want to get your attention If you’re not…

Hey Reader, When I look around, most men want to start a side hustle to get the business off the ground. I love the idea and motivation they have—to provide for their family and spend more time with them. There is only one flaw on that side:They plan for a side hustle, not for an exit strategy. The numbers tell the difference. Most people starting a side hustle are happy about any money they can make. They start to offer low-price digital products:A template for $20 or an ebook for $8. • The truth about the easy life.

Hey Reader, Last night was rough. Our son woke us up in the night.Which happens to all parents, I know. He cried. He was hungry, so we gave him a bottle of milk. Just when I was about to fall asleep again, he cried again. At some point, he fell asleep again.I didn’t… My mind was wandering around. How nice would it be to have an easy life? • Why giving first sets you apart

One question is always here:How do I stand out? I want to show that I’m different. There is so much content produced every day that it’s hard to keep up with it all. Yet it’s not coming easy to stand out. The one sure thing we know is: If you do what everybody does — it’s a sure way to blend in with the crowd. There is a trend that I’m seeing. It’s not a new trend.Everybody is only talking about themselves. The major question always is: What’s in it for me? That’s the main attitude most…
